Wow.. it's been awhile since I've posted.
Since my last post, I've started a new job. I'm working in the photo/media department at a Meijer store in the town I live in. I like the job and best of all, it's a paycheck! :D
I found out Italy is probably not going to be a possibility since it's going to be around $4,500 total. That's o.k. though.. I'll just convince my sister to go to Florida with me sometime. I kinda doubt she's going to need too much convincing though. haha
The beginning of October I went on a retreat with my church group. I really had fun going on that. A couple of my friends convinced me to ride the zip line that the camp had. It was fun, except for the fact that I got "stuck" hanging over the lake for a few minutes. Not real sure how that happened, but it did. Just my luck! haha
It's "officially" winter; it snowed here today! :( I'd prefer if we skipped winter and went right back to spring.. gonna have to ask God about that because I'm already over the whole snow/cold weather thing! lol
Well, better get back to studying.. I don't think I'll be able to get college credit from writing a blog post. :) haha

Italy
Haven't done a new post in awhile, but here's one of the major things that's new-- the possibility of going to Italy with my sister!!! :) Our church is planning a trip to Rome next summer so we would be going with the group. We are so excited to get more information about it! We went to the meeting about it yesterday.. so exciting! Some of the major cities we'll be going to are: Rome, Naples, and Salerno. And we know we'll be going to Trevi fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, the Roman Senate Forum, Julius Caesar's grave, and Mt. Vesuvius. The focus of the trip is the journeys of Paul and church history, so we will also be going to some of the outlying areas where Paul would have walked and ministered and also to places like one of the prisons that Paul was in(Mamertine Prison in Rome). We've been studying Italian so we can speak/understand a little bit of the language while we're there. haha This will be a trip that we'll always remember. It's definitely going to be amazing! :)
Dean Martin's song "On an Evening in Roma" has been our "theme" song the past few days as we think about the trip! :) haha

Dating Advice
My friend Sarah also has a blog and recently posted some great dating advice that will be good for all of us to remember. So, I'll share it! :)
Isn't that awesome?! I sure thought it was! It's definitely something that I'll keep going back to. :)
"It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes."
~Psalm 118:9
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will direct your paths."
The following are dating principles that will help keep the heart aches to a minimum and leave you the most to give your husband.
Wait until you are ready to marry to date.
Only date a Christian and be sure to ask how they believe you are saved.
Talk more than you text.
If you are going to hold hands save the rest for after you are engaged and married.
Spend time in real life situations (visiting family and engaging in conversation).
If you wouldn’t marry them then don’t date them.
Let a gentleman be a gentleman – allow him to open doors and do others thing to treat you like a lady. Thank him and be respectful.
Wait for a godly man – he will be more than worth it.
Settling for someone who is rude, pressures you in unbiblical ways and doesn’t treat you well is not a good idea.
Guard against thinking that there is always someone better. Once you are married you will not want thoughts like that in your mind and they start from dating around.
Keep your relationship always before the Lord in prayer.
Should you need to end the relationship refrain from sending a text. Take someone with you or call if that will not work. Even though texting is common it is not a kind way to end a relationship.
Isn't that awesome?! I sure thought it was! It's definitely something that I'll keep going back to. :)

This Is Me
My life is a simple thing that would interest no one. It is a known fact that I was born and that is all that is necessary. ~ Albert Einstein
Hi! My name is Julie. My life is fairly normal, if there is such a thing, so I don't know if this blog will intrest anybody, but I'll write it anyway! haha
I'm 18 and graduated(yay!) from homeschool this year. I really enjoyed being homeschooled, but am glad to be done with highschool. By the way, my mom has a blog where she writes about homeschooling.. if you want to check it out the url is http://homeschoolingthrulife.blogspot.com/ . My life this summer consists of work, a Bible study/college group at my church, spending time with my family('cause they're awesome and I love them.. trust me, they REALLY are awesome!),soaking up the sun, hanging out with friends, and preparing for college this fall. I'll be going to the community college in my hometown to start towards getting an accounting degree. Even though most people think I'm crazy, I AM looking foward to going to college. I guess a love of learning is one of the results/benefits of having been homeschooled. :) Some of my hobbies right now are: photography, reading, spending time with my family, and hanging out with my friends.
This blog isn't going to be anything "profound" or even anything close! haha As the title says, it's just random stuff. It may be intresting, cool, or just random! The whole point of what I'm trying to say is that I'm going to have fun with writing this blog and there's really no rhyme or reason to it. Some posts may be songs I heard and liked, others may be websites I've found, and others will be updates about things I'm learning and about my life as a homeschool graduate/college student/ teenager. By the way, I know my spelling, grammer, and punctuation aren't perfect, so there are going to be some mistakes, but hopefully you'll forgive that!
